Winter village - Winterdorf
In einem Bastelbuch fand ich diese Bastelidee. Ein kleines Winterdorf aus Steckmoos und Gips.
Als erstes Muss das Steckmoos mit einem Cutter in die richtige Form geschnitten werden. Einige Teile klebte ich sogar zusammen, da ich nicht so viel Steckmoos wegwerfen wollte.
I found the idea for this craft in a crafts book. A little Winter village out of florist foam and plaster strips.
As a first step I cut the foam in the right shape with a cutting knife. I sometimes even glued some pieces together because I didn’t want to waste so much of the florist foam.
Danach musste das Steckmoos mit den Gipsbandagen eingegipst werden. Ich legte eine, maximal zwei Schichten übereinander. Nach dem Trocknen bemalte ich die Hausdächer mit schwarzer Farbe, liess es trocknen und tupfte dann die Dächer mit einem Schwamm und weisser Farbe ab, um einen Schneeeffekt zu erzeugen. Ebenfalls bemalte ich die selbstgesammelten Tannenzapfen mit weisser Farbe.
Then I had to cover the florist foam with the plaster strips. I usually did one or two layers at max. After the houses were dry I painted the roofs black. Then I used a sponge and white paint and created a soft white layer on top of the black so it would seem like snow on the roof. I also painted the pine cones with white paint.
Danach mussten die Türen und Fenster gemacht werden. Im Bastelbuch wurde dafür ganz dünnes Holz verwendet. Ich entschied mich für braunes Papier, bemalte es mit einem dunkleren Farbstift und vermalte es mit einem nassen Pinsel. Dadurch konnte ich den Holzeffekt erschaffen. Die Türen und Fenster klebte ich mit Weissleim an. Ich brauchte einige meiner Washi-Tapes um die Häuser zu verzieren.
So then it was time for the doors and windows to be made. In the book they used really thin wood for that. I decided to take brown paper and drew on it with a brown pencil. I used a wett brush to create the wooden look. I used some of my Washi-tape to decorate the houses.
Im Hintergrund der Häuser erstellte ich eine Wimpelkette mit Sternen. Die Lichter der Kerzen werfen dann einen Sternenschatten an die Wand. Als letztes muss nur noch alles aufgestellt werden. Die Tannenzapfen machte ich mit Haftpunkten an. Nun nur noch die Kerzen anzünden und voila - das Winterdorf ist fertig.
For the background, I made a garland with stars. When I light the candles they cast garland shadow on the wall. As the last thing I only had to set it all up. I fixed the pine cones with tack and then only the candles had to be light. Here we go - the winter village is ready.
