Blue Floral Art - Kunst mit blauen Blumen

Lately I have been really into drawing floral art. I love how flowers and plants can come in so many different shapes and forms and most of the time the shapes that need to be drawn are not overly complicated. I don’t try to copy a specific type of flower or leaf, mostly it’s just whatever shape I’d like to draw. Like this I also don’t have the pressure of having to draw realistically.

For this art piece I tried out the clipping mask tool on procreate. For that you draw a background on a layer, (Picture 1) then you write or draw different words on a second layer. (Picture 2) The word layer is going to be under the background layer. (Picture 3) Then when you go to the background layer, turn on “clipping mask” (Picture 4) and now your word will be filled with the background color. (Picture 5) I love how you can combine the marbling backgrounds with different colors and textures in one word like that.

The flowers and leaves I then drew with colors that were already in the background. Like that I was able to stick to the color theme.

The card itself was a birthday gift for my mom, she wanted to spend a day in a Swiss city, shopping and exploring the town. We ended up discovering Winterthur and realized how lovely the city is! Totally worth it!

In letzter Zeit zeichnete ich oft Blumen und Pflanzen. Ich finde es einfach mega toll, dass es so viele verschiedene Varianten gibt! Das Geniale am Zeichnen von Blumen und Pflanzen ist, dass das meiste aus einfachen Formen wie Kreise, Ellipsen und Linien konstruiert werden kann. Ich versuche auch gar nicht erst eine “echte” Pflanze abzuzeichnen, sondern kreiere einfach aus meiner Fantasie.

Für diese Karte hier habe ich in Procreate (meine Zeichnungsapp) mit Clipping-Masken experimentiert. Dafür zeichnest du einen Hintergrund auf einer Ebene. (Bild 1) Auf einer zweiten Ebene schreibst oder zeichnest du. (Bild 2) Die Hintergrundebene muss nun über die zweite Ebene gezogen werden. (Bild 3) Klicke jetzt auf die Hintergrundebene und wähle “Clipping-Maske” aus. (Bild 4) Dein Hintergrund ist nun nur noch in der Schrift zu sehen. (Bild 5) Das beste daran finde ich, dass man in der Schrift so Farben marmorieren oder Strukturen einfügen kann.

Die Blumen und Blätter habe ich dann auf einer separaten Ebene mit passenden Farben hinzugezeichnet.

Die Karte selbst war ein Geburtstagsgeschenk für meine Mama. Sie wünschte sich einen Tag in einer Stadt mit flanieren und “pöstele”. Schlussendlich hatten wir einen tollen Tag in Winterthur und genossen die Zeit zusammen.
