The Shop - Der Laden — The Susslife

Finally we are back and woke up from our food coma from the holidays. I want to take this time to talk a little bit about the shop on the blog. For quite a couple of months I’ve been thinking that I actually could sell my letterings. Eventually I would like to sell a lot more of course but I wanted to start out with the lettering. So a couple of weeks ago I set up the store on the website. As you guys can see, so far it is “only” digital downloads of my products. The reason is that selling starts a whole new set of questions that I wasn’t able to answer yet. Where do I print my cards? How do I ship them? Will people even like my stuff? How much do I ask for it? So I decided for now I would just sell everything digitally and when I feel a little more settled with the questions I take the next step. I am already figuring out some details about the prints though, which I am very exited about.

When it comes to dreaming big in addition to the letterings I would also love to sell my decorations somehow, so you can have the same products and put it together yourself. This will involve a whole new level of production and shipping, so I am not quite there yet. But if you like the idea of it I would love a comment from you!

Endlich sind wir zurück und aus unserem Foodkoma von den Festtagen erwacht. Ich möchte diesen Moment nutzen um ein wenig über den Shop im Blog zu reden. Schon seit einigen Monaten dachte ich, dass ich eigentlich meine Letterings verkaufen könnte. Dann, vor einigen Wochen, richtete ich endlich den Shop auf der Webseite ein. Wie ihr im Moment sehen könnt, verkaufe ich dort bis jetzt “nur” digitale Kopien meiner Arbeit. Das Verkaufen von den gedruckten Karten brachte einige Fragen mit sich, die ich bis jetzt noch nicht beantworten konnte. Wo drucke ich die Karten? Wie versende ich sie? Mögen die Leute meine Produkte? Wie teuer kann ich sie verkaufen? Also entschied ich mich mit dem Druck noch zu warten, bis ich mich ein wenig sicherer fühlte mit dem ganzen Shop. Ich habe aber schon so einige Ideen, wie das mit dem Druck ablaufen könnte!

Wenn ich ganz gross träume, dann möchte ich sogar meine Dekosachen verkaufen, damit ihr das gleiche Produkt zu Hause haben und selber zusammensetzen könnt! Das aber ist ein ganz anderes Niveau von Produktion und Versand. Wenn euch die Idee aber gefällt, dürft ihr gerne einen Kommentar schreiben!
