Die Waid, Zürich
It almost looks cheesy and unreal but this was Zurich yesterday! I know it’s kind of mean to just post a photo like that and then you might not even get to go to Zurich because you’re still stuck home, sorry about that. It just looked so amazing and maybe it gives you ideas for future plans, who knows.
Yesterday we did a little trip to “Die Waid” in Zurich Höngg, which is part of the city but on a little hill which offers you an amazing view on Zurich. You can take busses from pretty much everywhere in the city to get to Waid. On top, you have the option to eat in the nice restaurant called “die Waid” or you can go deer watching in the wild life park right next to the restaurant. The top photo with the vines was taken straight from my restaurant seat. If you’re planning on eating there, I highly recommend reserving a seat, as it is very popular. You might also enjoy a little stroll around the neighbourhood as there are a lot of little gardens.
Our highlights were the stunning view on the city and the lake as well as the restaurant “die Waid” and we think it is definitely worth going, doesn’t matter if you live in the city or you’re a tourist.
Es ist schon fast kitschig und surreal, aber das war tatsächlich gestern in Zürich. Für die Einheimischen Zürcher unter euch, wird dieser Post wahrscheinlich alter Kaffee sein, aber ich war gestern das erste Mal dort oben und habe es sehr genossen!
Wir machten einen kleinen Ausflug zu “die Waid” in Zürich, Höngg. Es ist Teil der Stadt aber auf dem Hügel oben, weshalb man auch diese fantastische Aussicht auf Zürich und den See hat. Oben hat man die Option in dem gleichnamigen Restaurant essen zu gehen, im Tierpark die Rehe anzuschauen oder einen kleinen Spaziergang an den Schrebergärten vorbei zu machen. Das Titelfoto ist übrigens direkt von meinem Sitzplatz im Restaurant entstanden. Falls ihr dort gerne essen möchtet, ist es euch wärmstens empfohlen einen Platz zu reservieren, da es sehr beliebt ist.
Unsere Highlights waren die wunderschöne Aussicht auf die Stadt und das Restaurant “die Waid”. Wir finden, dass es definitiv der Reise Wert ist, egal ob man ein Tourist ist, oder in der Stadt wohnt.
