Christmas Wreath in Green - Adventskranz in Grün

Advent is always a very exciting season for me because I love all the warm lights, candles and Christmas decor. Our decor this year combines all those elements and I’m thrilled to share them with you!

This advent, my mom decided to showcase a traditional Christmas Wreath remixed with a very trendy green for the candles and I love the look of it. Here is what you need:

Material:

• Different kinds of pine cones (Picture 1)

• Different kinds of conifer branches

• 4 candles

• Small Christmas ornaments (ideally matching colour with the candles)

• Lotus pods

• Wooden stars (these here are out of birch bark)

• Hot glue

• Thick wire to attach the candles

• Straw Wreath

Instructions:

1. Attach the pine cones with the hot glue to the straw wreath. (Picture 2) Make sure you glue them together tightly. Stick the conifer branches in between. (Picture 6) Leave open the area where you want to attach the candles. (Picture 5)

2. Cut the wire into 12 2-inch pieces. Light a candle or a lighter and heat the thick wire. Hold the wire with pliers so you don’t burn your hands on the hot wire. (Picture 3) Take the now hot wire and stick it into the candle. (Picture 4) Add 3 wires to each candle, wait until the wax has hardened again and then attach the candle to the wreath. (Picture 5) Now you can fill everything around the candles with pine cones and conifer branches.

3. Decorate with Christmas ornaments, Lotus pots and stars until you like the look of your wreath. (Picture 7)

Der Advent ist für mich eine tolle Zeit, da ich die vielen warmen Lichter, Kerzen und Weihnachtsdeko einfach superschön finde! Deshalb möchte ich euch die diesjährige Deko nicht vorenthalten und rede auch gar nicht um den heissen Brei herum und zeige euch gleich die Fotos und die Anleitung zu dem schönen Adventskranz meiner Mama.

Dieses Jahr entschied sie sich wiedermal einen traditionell runden Kranz zu machen, dekorierte den Kranz aber mit Kerzen in einem sehr trendigen Grün. Das braucht ihr dafür:

Material

• Verschiedene Koniferenäste

• Verschiedene Tannenzapfen (Bild 1)

• 4 Kerzen

• Kleine Christbaumkugeln (idealerweise passen sie farblich zu den Kerzen)

• Lotuskapseln

• Holzige Sterne (diese hier sind aus Birkenrinde)

• Heissleim

• Dicker Draht um die Kerzen zu befestigen

• Strohkranz

Anleitung:

1. Klebe die Tannenzapfen mit Heissleim an den Strohkranz. (Bild 2) Versuche die Zapfen so eng wie möglich anzubringen. Zwischendrin kannst du die Koniferen einstecken. (Bild 6) Lasse den Bereich des Kranzes weg, wo die Kerzen hinkommen. (Bild 5)

2. Den Draht in 12 4cm lange Stücke schneiden. Das Stück mit der Zange halten und über einer Flamme erwärmen (Bild 3) und dann in die Kerze drücken. (Bild 4) Pro Kerze braucht es 3 Drähte. Warte bis der Wachs wieder hart ist und dann kann die Kerze in den Strohkranz gedrückt werden. (Bild 5) Nun den Rest des Kranzes mit Tannenzapfen und Koniferen ausfüllen.

3. Den Kranz mit Christbaumkugeln, Lotuskapseln und Sternen dekorieren bis er fertig ist. (Bild 7)
