Spring Wreath with Eucalyptus - Frühlingskranz mit Eukalyptus

My mom always amazes me with the decorations she makes out of things she finds in nature. She loves to go on walk and collect the treasures she finds. Pine cones, moss, branches, nuts… you name it. This time the gardener cut a lot of the trees and bushes in my parents garden and so my mom took the cut off branches to make a beautiful spring wreath! She additionally bought some eucalyptus and baby’s breath at the store and decorated the wreath with onion sets, quail eggs and feathers. The wreath turned out stunning and even lasts for quite a while since all the plants can be dried well.

You need:

• Single wire wreath

• Branches

• Eucalyptus branches

• Baby’s breath

• Onion sets

• Quail eggs

• Quail feathers

• Wire

• Hot glue

• ribbons

Instructions:

1. Take the wire wreath and wrap the branches around it. You can take a few branches together and wrap them together. Sometimes you will find it helpful to secure the branches with wire. Once the base wreath is done you can take the eucalyptus branches and stick them into the wreath. Add as many until you like the look of it.

2. Take the Baby’s breath and cut off small branches from the top. Also stick them into the wreath. Take the hot glue and glue the eggs, feathers and onions on the wreath. Sometimes you can even “hide” them a little bit under the flowers or eucalyptus.

3. Lastly add the ribbon to the wreath and you are done. You can either lay it down flat on a table or you can hang it on a wall or door.

Meine Mama überrascht mich einfach jedes Mal wieder neu, was sie alles für Dekorationen herzaubern kann mit Material, welches sie in der Natur findet. Sie geht sehr gerne in den Wald laufen und sammelt dann allerhand Schätze wie Moos, Äste, Nüsse, Tannenzapfen, usw… Dieses Mal schnitt der Gärnter im Garten meiner Eltern einige Bäume und Büsche und meine Mama benutzte diese für einen wunderschönen Frühlingskranz. Zusätzlich kaufte sie im Laden noch Eukalyptus und Schleierkraut und dekorierte mit Wachteleiern, Federn und Steckzwiebeln. Das tolle am Kranz ist, dass er auch super getrocknet werden kann und so ziemlich lange hält!

Du brauchst:

• Drahtkranz mit einem einzigen dicken Draht

• Äste

• Eukalyptusäste

• Schleierkraut

• Steckzwiebeln

• Wachteleier

• Wachtelfedern

• Draht

• Heissleim

• Bänder

Anleitung:

1. Nimm den Drahtkranz und wickle die Äste um den Draht. Dazu kannst du auch mehrere Äste gleichzeitig wickeln. Manchmal braucht es etwas Draht dazu um die Äste am dicken Draht zu befestigen. Wenn der Grundkranz fertig ist, die Eukalyptusäste in den Kranz stecken.

2. Vom Schleierkraut oben kleine Ästchen abschneiden und ebenfalls in den Kranz stecken. Mit dem Heissleim die Federn, Eier und Zwiebeln befestigen. Manchmal sieht es auch schön aus wenn die Eier oder Zwiebeln etwas under die Blumen und den Eukalyptus geschoben werden.

3. Einige Bänder um den Kranz wickeln und fertig ist die Dekoration. Der Kranz kann entweder flach auf einen Tisch gelegt oder an einer Wand oder Türe befestigt werden.
