Hearts - Herzli — The Susslife

Hearts, hearts, hearts where ever you look. I have been working on these hearts for quite a while now and I am still making more. I want to hang them up by the windows as a decoration. They are super easy to make and you almost get a little addicted to make more and more. Here is how I made it:

Herzli, Herzli, Herzli wohin man schaut. Ich arbeite nun schon seit einer Weile an diesen Herzen und mache immer noch mehr. Später möchte ich sie beim Fenster als eine zeitlose Fensterdeko einsetzen. Die Herzen sind super einfach zu machen, so einfach, dass man fast ein bisschen süchtig wird. Hier ist die Anleitung:

Cut two hearts out of a piece of cloth.

Schneide zwei Herzen aus einem Stück Stoff aus.

Put the hearts on top of each other so that the nice sides are inside. Later on you will flip everything inside out and you’ll see the nice side. Sew as shown in the picture. I would start on the side and go around the heart from there. As you near the end make sure to not sew everything, as you want to put stuffing in it.

Lege die beiden Herzen aufeinander, sodass die schönen Seiten innen sind. Später wirst du alles stürzen. Nähe fast Füsschenbreit, wie im Bild. Am besten ist es auf der Seite zu starten und dann einmal herum zu nähen. Beim Ende darf nicht alles zugenäht werden, da noch die Stopfwatte hinein muss.

Before you turn it inside out, make sure to cut the fabric as shown in the picture. This helps to reduce the tension on the fabric. If you leave it out you will get folds by the middle edge of the heart. After this step you turn it inside out, stuff the heart with stuffing and finish sewing by hand.

Bevor das Herz gestürzt werden kann, muss der Stoff wie im Bild bei der oberen Spitze eingeschnitten werden. Ansonsten bilden sich nach dem Stürzen Falten im Stoff. Danach wird das Herz gestürzt und mit Stopfwatte aufgefüllt und dann von Hand fertig zugenäht.
