Prince of Peace - Friedefürst
After doing a lot of lettering by hand and finishing quite a few bigger art projects, I finally went back to drawing on the iPad. I really enjoy the mixture of analog and digital lettering and I recently discovered it is super relaxing for me to listen to classical music while drawing.
With the current circumstances of war so close to Switzerland I wanted to remind myself that Jesus is the prince of peace, he is in control not only of the wars around us but also the wars we sometimes face inside of us. As I was writing, I kept hearing the song Prince of Piece by Hillsong and that inspired me to draw the starry night sky to create a feeling of that peace I can feel when looking to the sky after the day is over.
Nachdem ich sehr viel von Hand gelettert habe und auch noch einige grössere Projekte fertigstellen musste, freute ich mich wieder einmal auf dem iPad zu lettern. Ich geniesse die Abwechslung zwischen analogem und digitalem Lettering. Ich liebe es zum Lettern dazu klassische Musik zu hören und völlig zu entspannen.
Wegen der momentanen Situation des Krieges so nahe bei der Schweiz wollte ich mich daran erinnern, wer der Friedefürst dieser Welt ist. Jesus hat nicht nur die Situation des Krieges unter Kontrolle, er kennt auch die Kämpfe, die wir manchmal in uns tragen. Während des Schreibens hörte ich immer wieder das Lied Prince of Peace von Hillsong und es erinnerte mich an den Frieden, den ich spüre, wenn ich den Sternenhimmel anschaue.
