Explore Colmar – A Fairytale Day Trip

What a cute town! Last weekend we went to Colmar, France. It is a small town in the French region called Alsace. Lucky as we are it only took us 3h by train to get there. From Zurich it is even only 2.5h. We stayed in Colmar for about 6 hours. We strolled through the tiny streets, explored the unique stores and markets and ate food from the area.

As you arrive at the train station of Colmar, you can walk towards the centre of the town. It is a very convenient place to explore on foot.

If you’re planning on eating in one of the restaurants, you definitely have to try “Tarte Flambee”. A kind of “French pizza” from Alsace made from a very thin layer of pastry, topped with sour cream, chopped onions and bacon. They also offer a lot of variations of the classic version.

Here I want to share some impressions with you and hopefully inspire you to plan a trip to Colmar.
