Decorative fabric hearts - Dekorative Stoffherzen

These cuties were made by my mom for all the people at her nursery home who had their birthday during corona times. The bags were stacked in the basement and it looked like there were at least 100 of those bags. In addition to that there were lot of hearts spread out through the house as decorations. They looked so gorgeous that I really had no choice but putting the instructions on the blog. So here you go, have fun creating!

What you need:

• Paper bag

• Gift for inside the bag

• Stamp or pens to write on the bag

• Thin ribbon

• buttons

• fabric

• stuffing

• thread for sewing

• sewing needle

• zick-zack fabric scissors.

Instructions:

1. Flatten out the paper bag and write or stamp on it. Fill the gift into the bag.

2. Draw two identical hearts on the fabric. It can be helpful to find a nice shape online and then make a stencil out of some cardboard leftover or paper. Then cut the fabric hearts with the zick-zack scissors. (Why zick-zack you’re asking? Like this the fabric doesn’t fray out and you don’t have to sew the edges) Now sew the two parts together, wrong side on wrong side. Leave an opening of about 1 inch. Through this opening you can now fill the heart with stuffing. Then finish sewing the heart.

3. Now cut about an arm-length of thread and take a needle. Then sew on the button. Tie a short piece of ribbon around it.

4. Attach the heat to the paper bag with thread and finished is your gift!

Diese herzigen Herzchen machte meine Mutter für die Bewohner des Altersheims, die während der Coronazeit Geburtstag hatten. Die Täschchen wurden auf einem Tisch im Keller gelagert, und es sah aus, als ob es mindestens 100 gewesen waren. Zudem sah man im ganzen Haus verteilt die Herzchen als Dekoration. Ich hatte keine andere Wahl als die Anleitung auf dem Blog hier zu posten, da sie wirklich sehr süss sind. Ich hoffe ihr habt Spass beim Ausprobieren:

Material:

• Papiertasche

• Geschenk für in die Tüte

• Stempel oder Stifte zum Verzieren der Tüte

• Dünnes Geschenksband

• Knöpfe

• Stoff

• Stopfwatte

• Nähfaden

• Nähnadel

• Zickzackschere

Anleitung:

1. Die Papiertasche flach drücken und mit dem Stempel oder Stiften verzieren. Dann das Geschenk in die Tüte legen.

2. Zeichne zwei identische Herzen auf den Stoff. Am besten geht das, wenn man selber eine Schablone zeichnet oder vom Internet eine geeignete Form ausdruckt. Dann die Herzen mit der Zickzackschere ausschneiden. (Warum Zickzachschere? Weil dann der Stoff nicht ausfranst und man den Rand nicht abnähen muss) Jetzt die beiden Stoffteile mit der rechten Seite nach aussen zusammennähen und dabei eine Öffnung von etwa 2cm freilassen. Durch dieses Loch das Herz nun mit Stopfwatte füllen und dann zunähen.

3. Nun den Knopf annähen und um den Knopfhals das Geschenksband zu einer Masche binden.

4. Mit einem kurzen Stück Nähfaden das Herz an der Tasche befestigen und schon ist das Geschenk fertig.
