Easy DIY Watercolor Bookmark Project
Wow, I am shocked! Shocked to see that my last post in the lettering section was on November 30th. It’s not like I have not been lettering, but some of the projects ended up being bigger things (which I haven’t shared with you yet) and some were just small cards for Christmas and stuff…
Well, I am excited to share this quick DIY with you, which hopefully some of the bookworms among you will enjoy. Since some of you might not feel comfortable drawing or writing, I also made a stamp version which is a little easier to make.
Material:
2 colors of thick paper
Ruler
Pencil
Scissors
thin black marker
glue
watercolor and brush or hole punch and stamp
hole punch
ribbon
Instructions:
Watercolor bookmark
Cut the base paper into the size you want, it should be slightly larger than the white paper. Take the white paper, cut it into the right size and then tear the sides of the paper off. Paint on the paper with watercolor. The color can be pretty watery.
Glue the white paper onto the base then hole punch a hole at the top and tie the ribbon around it. Take the marker and draw or write on it to decorate the bookmark.
Stamp bookmark
Cut the papers like described above. Then use a special hole punch to cut out a big circle or other shape. Glue the shape on the papers and then stamp or alternatively you can write whatever you’d like to be on the bookmark.
